The 2016 PGA Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida will be the biggest golf tournament ever held in Florida, with a crowd of 4.5 million people expected to watch the winner take home the $1.9 billion prize.
The event will be held on April 5, 2018 and will take place on the fairgrounds of the Palm Beach Golf Course.
The PGA of America has confirmed that the tournament will be televised on Fox Sports 1 and Golf Channel.
The PGA announced the new tournament format in an update to the PGA website on Tuesday.
The 2017 tournament is expected to have an attendance of more than 4 million people.
The 2017 tournament will have the best-of-three championship round.
The top-three finishers in each round advance to the championship round, which will be a best-six-games-one-shot playoff.
The final round will be best-two-games.
The tournament is a joint effort between the PGC and the International Disc Golf Association (IDGA).
