The Rugby World Series is a 12-team competition in which the top four teams in each country advance to the 2019 Rugby World Cups in France, Italy and Scotland.
The winner of the 2019 tournament will then qualify for the 2020 World Cup in France.

The Rugby World Rugby Cup, also known as the Rugby World Sevens Series, is a 10-team, four-day competition with an average prize purse of $8.7 million, including broadcast and ticket sales.
A record number of participants will be expected for the event, which will feature three games, a host country and a single elimination playoff.
The 2018 event in France featured a record crowd of 23.8 million, while the 2019 edition in Rome featured a crowd of 25.3 million.
Ticket prices for the tournament are expected to be higher than in previous years, as the event is being held on a smaller scale and with fewer participants.
The average price for tickets for this year is $7,500, while last year’s price was $8,800.
Tickets will go on sale in January, 2018.
New Zealand will field six teams, with the Kiwis having the most players at 12, followed by France with 11 and the rest of the teams at 10.
Australia, South Africa and the United States will also field a single team.
The tournament will begin in early August, and the finals will take place in 2019.
