— Numerous news outlets and major publications have reported on the upcoming NBA NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Golden State team has won the title three times, including the 2015 title game, and the Cavs are undefeated.
The Warriors have won the last four NBA Finals.
Nike’s basketball shoe company, NikeLab, is the official shoe sponsor of the upcoming championship.
A source close to the negotiations told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that there are “no hard feelings” between Nike and the Warriors, and that the team will continue to collaborate with NikeLab.
But a source close on the Warriors’ end told ESPN that Nike has decided not to offer a sponsorship in the event that the Warriors win the title.
The source told Schefter, “I would not expect any kind of deal in the NBA finals.
It’s a big deal for the entire league.
It’s going to be a real treat for people in the stadium.
It’ll be one of the greatest sporting events ever, and I think we’re going to see the NBA get a lot of attention on the basketball court.”
Nokia, which has a strong partnership with the Warriors on their basketball and social media, tweeted its congratulations on the team’s championship.
The Warriors have played five games in their last six, and they’re now 11-3 overall and 13-1 in the postseason.
They defeated the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Golden State and Utah Jazz.
